Only 5 days to go until Xclusive officially opens its doors.  I know; exciting, right?  The shop is just about ready for our first day of business.  We will be working all weekend to make sure that it is picture perfect for all of our new customers.


While you wait patiently for Monday to arrive, here is a sneak peak at another one of the lines we will be carrying.  Comfy USA was our first purchase at our very first fashion market.  We were like fish out of water; but the awesome sales lady guided us through selecting our first pieces of real inventory.  We instantly liked Comfy USA because of its easy style and super comfortable fabric.

2 Weeks to go...

I can't believe we are only 2 weeks away from opening the boutique.  There is still so much to do: the dressing room is in progress, it is 50% constructed; our signage needs to go up; we need to finish getting all of the inventory in the system; final details in styling the boutique; and we have a soft opening to plan. Whew!


Thank goodness we have such supportive family and friends who have helped us along every step of the way.  From advice and guidance, to electrical work and construction skills.  We are truly blessed.


It can be overwhelming and chaotic opening a new store but we are way too excited to let the stress get to us.  We have actually laughed most of the time.  A good sense of humor is a must in entrepreneurship; humor and of course passion.


Well, enough talking; let's get to the good stuff.  Here is a look at another one of the designers we are carrying.  Lucie Lu is a small operation; basically, a one woman show.  But she does an amazing job, from design to production.  I have already worn a super cute cardigan from this line and I have a beautiful wrap dress hanging in my closet waiting for its debut.


Lucie designs fashionable clothes for women in sizes 1x - 5x.  We are the first boutique in California to carry her line!

Missphit I Love

Another brand that I love, love, love is Missphit.  The clothes are fashionable and beautiful not to mention great quality and fit.  Here is a little info about the company taken from their website:

I Heart Perch

I think it was the moment we got really excited about opening our store.  It was the moment we realized that there was fashion hope for curvy girls.  It was the moment we realized that what we envisioned (to open a fashion forward plus size boutique) was possible.  It was the moment we first laid our eyes on the fresh, feminine, beautiful designs of Perch by Blu Pepper.


The line was recently launched by Blue Bird:  "A Blue Bird girl is one who maintains her youthful, flirty personality while branching out confidently with a vintage flair."  Blue Bird designs "for the girl who admits there is a bit of dreamy romantic in her, and communicates it through her effortless style."  Well said Blue Bird!
